Liposculpture

True Tumescent Liposuction is recognized as the technique permitting the greatest safety, most rapid recovery, least amount of pain, and best aesthetic results.

Tumescent Liposuction is the Liposuction Technique of the millennium. During a tumescent procedure, the skin is first filled with a dilute numbing agent and a bleeding inhibitor. This solution – and the surrounding fat – is then suctioned out. We can avoid general anesthesia with all its associated risks. Micro-tubes are used, that are much smaller than the traditional ones, permitting more precise sculpting, and less trauma to the body. During the procedure, patients can listen to music, talk on the phone or simply sleep. After the procedure is over, patients simply get up and walk out of the surgery room; patients are able to return to a desk-type job in one or two days and feel comfortable resuming physical exercise within about one week.

The potential dangers and risks of liposuction are associated with general anesthesia, excessively large volumes of liposuction done on a single day, and combining liposuction with other unrelated procedures. The True Tumescent Liposuction avoids all these risk factors. This method of liposuction is recognized as the technique permitting the greatest safety, most rapid recovery, least amount of pain, and best aesthetic results.

Does the Liposculpture procedure hurt?
Dr. Vu carefully infiltrates the local anesthesia to all the right areas so when the times comes to suction out the fat, the patient will hardly feel anything. Patients may feel like something is moving around underneath the skin as Dr. Vuis infiltrating, but there is no pain.

Is the fat permanently removed?
Yes. The fat cells that are removed will not come back. However weight can still be gained, therefore a healthy diet and regular exercise is recommended.  Ideally, you should maintain your weight after the procedure because the new, beautifully sculpted silhouette will remain.

Will I be left with loose skin?
Generally, the skin will retract along with the weight loss. The skin often sags because of the fat weight that is behind it. Once the fat is removed, the skin will be able to snap back. We also carry specialized medical body garments that helps keep the figure and skin nice and firm.

How do I know if Liposculpture is right for me?
If you have stubborn, unwanted fat anywhere on your body (abdomen, waist, hip, thighs, knees, flank, wings, arms, double chin, breast and buttocks), no matter how little or grand, it may be right for you. We undergo proper lab testing and follow strict pre-op procedures prior to procedure to ensure your safety and to verify that you are in good health. If you have any questions, feel free to call us for a free consultation to see if you could benefit from Liposculpture.
