Breast Lift

A woman’s breasts often changes as you go through different stages in life, and the youthful shape and firmness might be lost gradually in time. Any changes and loss of skin elasticity can result from pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight fluctuations, aging, gravity, or heredity. Also referred to as mastopexy surgery, a breast lift raises and firms the breasts by removing excess skin and tightening the surrounding tissue to reshape and support the new breast contour.

If you desire breasts that look youthful and uplifted, a breast lift surgery might be for you. Breast lift surgery does not change the shape or size of your breasts; it rather evens out the saggy skin, lifting your breasts up, giving it more healthy, youthful look. If you desire your breasts to look fuller, you may want to consider combining breast lift and augmentation surgery. If you want to downsize your breasts, combining breast lift and reduction surgery is also an option.

Here at LaserPro Cosmetic, Dr. Hannah Vu with her friendly and professional staff will help you reshape your body and gain the look you desire!

How do I know whether or not I need a breast lift or augmentation?
For the most part, women desire breast lifts because they feel that their breasts are sagging due to aging, pregnancy, breast feeding, or weight loss. Women who desire breast augmentation are typically those seek breast enlargement. At times, some women seek both, which is possible to do altogether at once.

Does age matter when it comes to a breast lift?
There is not a set age, but you have to be in a good healthy condition. The average age where women consider getting a breast lift is 40. If you feel like you are unhappy with the way your breasts look, then you may benefit from this procedure.

How long is the procedure?
Each case depends on what the patient wants to achieve. On average, a breast lift case is about 3 hours.

Does it hurt?
Dr. Vu will carefully inject the proper anesthetic to ensure that you are comfortable during the procedure. Proper medication will also be provided to assure that you are relaxed during the procedure as well.

How long is the recovery time?
Patients can go about regular, light activities in just a couple of days. Usually, after the suture removal (which is about a week), the recovery will be much easier. It is recommended to refrain from heavy activities for at least two to three weeks, depending on what type of work that you do.

Are the results permanent?
The procedure results are permanent. However, natural signs of aging, future breast feeding and weight loss may cause the breast to sag again.
