Breast Reduction

Breast reduction, also known as reduction mammoplasty, aims to remove the excess breast fat, glandular tissue and skin to achieve a breast size that is in proportion with your body. The breast reduction is also recommended to alleviate the discomfort associated with overly large breasts.

At LaserPro Cosmetic, Dr. Hannah Vu and her talented staff will help you diagnose your personal needs for reshaping your body and achieving the look you’ve always wanted.

What makes a good candidate for Breast Reduction?
Women who feel that their breast are too large and are in good health can be a candidate for this procedure. For the most part, women who complain about back, neck pains and other health issues due to the size of their breasts may consider a breast reduction as well.

Are the results permanent?
Yes, the results from the procedure are permanent. However, if you overeat and gain weight, the fat cells may reoccur, causing volume to form in your breasts.

When will I be able to see results?
After the procedure, you should be able to see the difference almost immediately. It’ll take a few days for the swelling to ease, and then you will notice the complete results.

When can I go back to work after the procedure?
Usually, patients can go back to their regular activities in just a few days. Depending on what kind of work you do will fully determine when you can go back. Patients have gone back to work in as little as 3 days, and some after a week. However, it is recommended to stay away from heavy, vigorous activities for at least two to three weeks.

Does it hurt?
Dr. Vu will carefully inject the proper anesthetic to ensure that you are comfortable during the procedure. Proper medication will also be provided to assure that you are relaxed during the procedure as well.

How long does it take?
On average, the whole procedure may take about 2 hours.
