Facial Implants

Chin Implants

Chin implants can be an option for you if you desire to bring a balanced structure to your face by correcting a weak chin due to congenital deficiency, age-related bone absorption, or facial trauma. A weak chin can also make your nose appear larger, and it may give the appearance on a “fleshy” neck. If you wish to build a better profile for your face, a Chin Augmentation may be an option for you. It is a relatively comfortable operation for the patient while producing noticeable changes in the silhouette of the face.

What kind of chin implants does Dr. Vu use?
Generally, Dr. Vu uses silicone implants that she would insert under your chin. The material is biocompatible and wouldl not cause any type of reaction to your body once inserted.

How is chin augmentation performed?
After discussing what results the patient wants to achieve, Dr. Vu will carefully plan out the procedure and ensure the patient the quality of the results. Dr. Vu first injects local anesthesia to provide patients with minimal pain and discomfort. Then, Dr. Vu will make a small incision to insert the chin implant. Upon success, Dr. Vu will stitch up the incision, and procedure is complete.

Is the procedure painful?
All of our surgical procedures are performed under local anesthesia. Although pain tolerance depends on the patient, Dr. Vu properly injects anesthetics to provide patients with minimal pain and discomfort.

How long is the procedure?
Chin Augmentation is a relatively quick procedure which may take about an hour.

Nose Implants

Because the nose is one of the most dominant features on the face, many of us can feel the discomfort for not having the nose they desire. If you are not satisfied with the shape of your nose, a nasal implant may be an option for you. Nasal implants are usually made from silicone and can be custom fitted and trimmed to exacting standards of beauty. These implants can be used to reconstruct damaged or missing noses or to reinforce and visually strengthen the tip or bridge of the nose.

At LaserPro Cosmetic, our doctor with good judgment, meticulous skills and a good aesthetic eye can help you achieve the look you desire. Chin augmentation or nasal surgery can be performed by itself, or as part of an overall facial rejuvenation.

What is a nose implant made of?
Generally, a nose implant is made from a synthetic biocompatible material or something that has been approved by the FDA.

Who is a good candidate for a nose implant?
Patients who are in good health and that are seeking an improvement with the physical features of their nose may be a good candidate. Patients who have thicker skin may be more compatible due to the coverage and protection of the implant. However, all skin types may be suitable for a nose implant.

How are the implants shaped?
Nose implants comes in all shapes and sizes. During your consultation, Dr. Vu will discuss the options with you to see which would be the best fit.

Is the procedure painful?
All of our surgical procedures are performed under local anesthesia. Although pain tolerance depends on the patient,  Dr. Vuproperly injects anesthetics to provide patients with minimal pain and discomfort.

How long is the procedure?
The length of the procedure varies on what the patient wants to achieve. Nose Augmentation is a relatively simple procedure which may take anywhere from one to two hours.
