Mini-Facelift

With the advances in facial surgery techniques, the Mini-Facelift, which is sometimes referred to as the short scar face lift, has become increasingly popular because it leaves patients having the procedure with a considerably reduced scar and shorter recovery period.

The advantage of a Mini-Facelift is it has the effect of reducing sagging loose skin, making the face softer and younger looking. Additionally, the cost of the mini facelift makes it an attractive option, since it reduces minor sagging around the cheeks and  jaw line,  much more economically than the conventional facelift approach.

Am I a good candidate for a mini facelift?
A good candidate would be defined as a man or women who are bothered by saggy, loose skin that hangs from their cheeks and lower face. For those who do not want to undergo an extensive face lift or have advanced signs of aging, a mini face lift would be suitable.

How long does the procedure take?
A mini face lift usually takes about three to four hours to complete, depending on what the patient wants to achieve.

Is the procedure painful?
All of our surgical procedures are performed under local anesthesia. Although pain tolerance depends on the patient, Dr. Vu properly injects anesthetics to provide patients with minimal pain and discomfort.

When can I go back to work?
As with any surgical procedure, the recovery time varies with each patient. After the procedure, the patient will be carefully banded. You can go back to work  in as little as 5 days , after the stitches are removed.

Will I be able to exercise after the procedure?
Light activities may be performed after the first week. However, strenuous exercise is recommended to wait at least three weeks after the procedure.
